About St. Thomas of Canterbury:

St. Thomas of Canterbury (STOC) is a traditional, Biblically-faithful, Anglican church located at the edge of West Pearland & Houston, Texas. We are in the Diocese of Mid-America of the Reformed Episcopal Church (REC). The REC, in turn, is part of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).

As with all parishes in the REC, we receive and affirm (1) Holy Scripture as the Word of God, (2) the three ancient creeds, commonly known as the Nicene, Apostles’ and Creed of Athanasius, and (3) the dogmatic definitions of the first four ecumenical councils of the undivided church. We also uphold the doctrine set forth in the classic formularies of the English Reformation - the Book of Common Prayer, the 39 Articles, the Ordinal, and the Homilies.

We use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the 1940 Hymnal in our worship services. Our general schedule for Sunday Services is:

  •  8:00 a.m.- Holy Communion Service (no music)

  • 10:30 a.m.- a choral service (choir & organ) - Holy Communion (1st & 3d Sundays of the month) and Morning Prayer (2d, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month)

All those from other Christian denominations who (1) have been baptized in the name of the the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and (2) who are eligible to receive Holy Communion their own congregation, are welcome to receive Holy Communion in our congregation.
